Reduce Nozzle Changes (fewer gang picks!): If this option is selected, the
optimizer attempts to never change nozzles. It may not be possible to do so,
depending on how many nozzles are needed by the product. This option results
in fewer gang picks.
No Feeder Duplication: By selecting this option, the optimizer does not duplicate
feeders in the feeder list on the machine. Leaving this de-selected,
the optimizer attempts to duplicate feeders (up to 4 of the same feeders on
each side of a dual beam machine) in order to reduce required “pick” movements.
If the Change Feeder Type option has been used in the Feeder List to
change a component's feeder, the Optimizer duplicates the current
feeder.
Use Current Feeder Setup: By selecting this option, the optimizer does not
move the feeders that are currently mounted on the machine. If additional
feeders are required, they will be added to the setup. This includes duplicate
feeders.
Optimize for Feeder Fit (no gang picks): If this option is selected, the
optimizer attempts to save space on the feeder banks by not positioning the
feeders for gang-pick or optimal position. Use this option only as a last resort
if the feeders do not fit on the banks any other way.
Use Machine Nozzles Only: By selecting this option, the optimizer is limited
to using the nozzles on the machine in the configuration template.
When working online, this option uses what is on the machine.
When working offline, choose from the following selections:
• Select this option and it uses the configuration template.
• Do not select this option and it uses the head setup and nozzle
inventory.
