Hi all,
  When we calculate FPY (First Time Yield rate) and RTY (Rolling Throughput Yield rate), we need to consider all the factors. Accorind to QC Flow chart, VI(Visual Inspection) is an important factor and we have to take it into account. But it is difficult to let it display in SFCS. Because thers is not barcode to be scanned to record the info but manual record. So how do you solve this issue in your SMT?

- I may use the Minintab to do a DOE run.
- If I can test the data in order to get the highest yield, then convert the amended data to Excel for Barcoding to set the Mean, USL/LSL.

Hehe, yes, VI has a meaning: virtual instrument. Because my major is skiils of testing and monitoring and apparatus, and I studied LabVIEW, so I know its meaning. In fat I should use V/I to express what I mention. It means visual inspection.

    Here, I just do some addition. For DOE, you can use it in Minitab. And this tool is an important factor when we get to do some experiments for the new project. We can get the less cost, but do the better result.
    I remember you said you were a BB, so you have the authority to explain,hehe.
